We often think about filler as something for women only, but that just isn’t the case. Men get filler too and it can be subtle and natural, or more dramatic if desired. Dermal fillers can be used to define the male jawline, support tired appearing under eyes, hydrate lips, and even soften deep wrinkles that come with aging.

We can masculinize and/or define the jawline with filler in a number of ways. We can square the jaw to make it appear more shapely and pronounced. We can accentuate the chin by adding volume or emphasizing the shape. We can even balance one’s facial features by adding length and/or projection to their chin. It will often take at least 2-4 syringes, but results can last up to two years.

Undereyes are one of client’s biggest concerns when it comes to aging. Our under eyes can age us significantly or make us look tired. We can support under eyes by using dermal filler in the cheeks.  Additionally, some clients may even need some support in their tear troughs to help with hallowing. Cheek filler doesn’t have to be dramatic, a little support in this area can go a long way. Oftentimes we will require 2-3 syringes in this area and results can last up to 2 years.

As we age our lips become thinner and dehydrated. There are very soft, hydrating fillers that can restore some volume and make the lips appear hydrated. There are also more structural fillers that can really give us some volume too if desired. Lip filler requires 1 syringe every 3-12 months as desired for volume.

Dermal fillers can fill or soften folds, lines, and creases. This is really helpful when we start seeing smile lines or lines around the mouth. Adding a little filler in this area for support can make us look years younger. The amount of filler needed here really varies from person to person, anywhere from 1 syringe to 4.

Finally we can use dermal fillers to restore volume loss in the hands with aging, lessen the appearance of scarring, and soften horizontal lines in our neck called “tech neck” .

Sooooo… dermal filler can be for anyone depending on what your aesthetic goals are. Results can be subtle to dramatic, all depending on your desires. The best way to decide if filler is right for you is to schedule a consultation with a trained aesthetic injector. Then you can choose together what is the best plan of action for you.
