A great first step is Botox. If you are noticing horizontal lines along your neck, we can place Botox just under the skin to help smooth them out. If vertical lines are noticeable, we can place Botox in your platysmal bands. Platysmal bands are big strips of muscle that run down the length of your neck. Reducing their appearance can take years off your neck’s appearance. Botox lasts three months, so you will want to get touched up to ensure the lines don’t deepen and become etched in.
Sculptra
If the skin on your neck is appearing crepey, we recommend airbrushing with Sculptra! Sculptra is placed in your neck with little to no pain using a non sharp needle. Sculptra is then absorbed by your body and actually stimulates your body to produce its own collagen and elastin. The results are not immediate, but you will see a firming of your skin in the months after your first treatment. 2-3 treatments are recommended for best results. If you are feeling like your neck skin is showing your age, Sculptra might be perfect for you!
If you can handle a little downtime, we have two favorite treatments for the skin of your neck. First is Sciton HALO! HALO Laser is a resurfacing treatment for deep wrinkles, overall tone and texture, and scarring in the skin. It combines two collagen-stimulating wavelengths into one amazing treatment. The HALO hybrid fractional laser is designed to rejuvenate your radiant complexion by utilizing a combination of ablative and non-ablative wavelengths within the same microscopic treatment zone. This approach aims to optimize clinical outcomes while minimizing downtime. When the HALO hand piece is moved over the skin, one laser focuses on the surface layer, while the other targets the underlying layer. Typically 1-2 treatments are needed every year. Over the next few months, you’ll see improved skin texture and less necklines.
